Hey, I’m Xander Hawes—photographer, content creator, and founder of Summit Shots. I’ve been living in Sun Peaks for the past 7 years, where I proudly support the community as a member of the volunteer fire department, a ski/bike patroller, and a local ambassador for the mountain lifestyle.
I picked up my first camera 10 years ago, and ever since, I’ve captured the world around me. For me, photography is about more than just images—It's sharing the world through my eyes.
Together with my brother Brock, we built Summit Shots to blend our passion for mountain sports, community, and media. Our goal is to provide affordable, professional photography for riders, families, and anyone chasing adventure at Sun Peaks.
Whether you're shredding dirt or snow, we’re here to help you take home the memory.

Hey, I’m Brock Hawes — photographer, athlete, and co-founder of Summit Shots. I’ve called Sun Peaks, BC home for the past seven years, and these mountains have shaped who I am — both behind the camera and on the bike.
Before starting Summit Shots, I spent years competing in freestyle skiing and downhill mountain biking, racing and riding at some of the biggest events across Canada and beyond. In 2023, I earned the title of Canadian National Champion and finished 7th at the UCI Mountain Bike World Series in Mont-Sainte-Anne, Quebec. Those experiences taught me what dedication, progression, and true stoke look like — qualities I now bring to my photography.
I’ve always been passionate about helping others push their limits. Whether it’s landing a new trick, cleaning a line, or capturing that perfect moment, I love seeing people achieve their goals and share in their excitement.
Through Summit Shots, my brother Xander and I built a way to celebrate that same energy. Our mission is simple — to capture the spirit, passion, and lifestyle of mountain sports.
Whether you’re a racer, weekend rider, or someone who just loves the mountains, I want every photo we take to remind you of why you do what you love.
Let’s make every shot count.
